Miss Daffodil worked on these little toilet-paper-roll firecrackers (the same ones my mom used to make with us) for weeks! Every time we'd sit down to work on them, she would quickly become tired and was ready to be done for the day. Lately she has been quite unmotivated- in terms of everything- drawing, projects, chores... she must be going through some change or on the verge of something big.
She has mastered swimming, though!!! We are totally psyched and proud! It happened almost overnight. One day Spencer just told her he was going to let go of her, and he did, and she kept herself up. Two weeks later, and with the help of a few swim lessons, she is now a bona fide fish! We joke that she may turn into a mermaid pretty soon because of how much we swim. I asked her if it was fun now that she knew how to swim. She said it was WAY fun! Now, with her goggles on, you just see her body floating around the pool, her head occasionally coming up for air. She's growing up!
I've been trying to finish up half-done projects- some of which have been lying around for years. The dress Little Anne wore on the Fourth of July was one that I cut out years ago For Miss Daffodil, and just recently finished. Oh well!
Hope your fourth was lovely!
